DIG VR: The making of | Part One: Origins

In 2020, as Covid-19 hit Europe and lockdowns began, Wired Productions’ MD Leo Zullo was staying at his family farm in Italy, caring for his sick father.

Inspired by watching his father work the land, Leo decided to try his hand at excavation & ultimately hiring a digger, which led to the idea for DIG VR. Recognizing the similarity between digger controls and VR handsets, Leo partnered with Just Add Water to bring the immersive excavation experience to life.

DIG VR captures the thrill and challenges of operating heavy machinery, helping players discover the joy and satisfaction of excavation.
